just want to know what were the most common bombing altitudes used by the luftwaffe?

the british had two types of rader high altitude (which could detect aircraft approching from above french coast)minimun detection altitude 15000 ft?.low level which could detect just off the british coast.
question why give up the element of suprise coming in at high altitude ?
these bombing altitudes mentioned in a couple of old battle of britain movies

As far as I know(and that ain't much http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif) LW bombing altitudes ranged from 10,000-23,000 feet.

I think if I recall correctly most bomber(He111,DO17,JU88) formations were around 15k.

Not exact but around there. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I think you're right Graf - "Angels One-Five" is a very common phrase in WWII RAF literature & movies.
