Hi all,

I have a 20 Euro gift certificate for amazon.de. Although I can also order books from there in English, I thought I might put my German to use.

Somebody once mentioned "Frontsoldaten". The only one I could find is "Hitlers Frontsoldaten. Der erz√¬§hlte Krieg."
by Stephen G. Fritz. However, it seems that they don't carry the book any longer, and noone is offering it used at the moment.

Another one that seems really interesting that I have seen described and read an extract from in English is "Stuka" or "Stuka Pilot", about Rudel. There seems to be one of these used, but are there two versions? One is "Stuka- Oberst Hans- Ulrich Rudel" by G√ľnther Just, and the other is "Mein Kriegstagebuch. Aufzeichnungen eines Stukafliegers." by Rudel himself.

Any suggestions for interesting books (preferably around that price range) that I could get at the site are welcome, even if they are not related to the war.

Thanks,
Mike

"Stuka-Oberst Hans-Ulrich Rudel" is more a picture volume.

Why dont you ask on the german forum, they can surely come up with some nice titles.
I'd say "Tagebuch des Hauptmann Lipfert", but it is out of print.
Or the books by Peter D√ľttmann or Heinz Ewald, which can both be ordered at the JG 52 site ( http://www.jg52.de).
I'd also recommend any Geschwader chronicles by Motorbuch (JG 51, JG 5 or JG 27, or KG 55 or 51). Those by Jochen Prien are more detailed, but dastardly expensive.

Thanks, and I think I will ask over at the German forum.

Cheers,
Mike
