I've been thinking about the immersion that this game could offer, and it seems as thought it could be fantastic, but since the game is taking place in the Middle East during the Crusades, wouldn't it be great to have Arabic in the game? I think all of the denizens of the Arabic world would benefit from speaking their language. Perhaps do what KoToR did with the subtitles. Of course the Brittains and other Europeans would speak most likely Kings English.

Other games have done this -Battlefield 2- and I thought it was awesome. Sure it would be a bit more work, but I think it would be fantastic for the game.

Kings English my butt. I'm English, and I don't exactly walk around using sentances like "one would like' etc....

And yes you do eavsdrop on the people when they speak another language you can hit the Y button (triangle for PS3) to translate it.

Hopefully they'll use the proper classical Arabic rather than the more vulgar street Arabic that is spoken today. And we can only pray that they do a better job with the Arabic in this game than Mel Gibson did with the Aramaic in The Passion of the Christ! Since Arabic is still pretty common today, albeit in a debased form, it would be quite a poor show if they don't get it right.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Can't be too difficult just need more voice actors who can speak a different language if they were speaking english it'd have the same problem

That's fantastic! But, about immersion...I'm a little afraid that the whole pseudoscience fiction thing will kill it. (see topic: SECRET REVEALED (MAJOR SPOILER)). I hope I'm wrong. It's like zombies in PoP. I still don't understand why they did it. There were no zombies in original Prince. It was a great game anyway.

One offtopic question: Does anyone find annoying seeing architectural innacuracies in videogames? Like having arches in games that take place in ancient Egypt (Sphynx and the Cursed Mummy)? Or some wild exhibitions with ancient Greek architecture (Rygar, God of War)? I'm an architect, and to me, it's really annoying. It's not that I don't like imagination and creativity in videogames, but if you already put your game in ancient greece, why think that you can do the better job in a year than Greek people did in centuries (and got praise for what they did)? This has nothing to do with Assassin though, the architecture in this game looks great.

i never really notice architecture things except when you see a sky scraper in a game like set in the past? but when has that happened? I really can't remember... -_-

There was quite a bit of impressive architecture in Israel. The fortifications in Akko were quite impressive.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I don't remember a lot of the stuff I learned on the Crusades. was the thrid crusade the one where the Crusaders were only able to keep jerusalem for like one year before it being retaken by Saladin?
cuz if it was, I think a lot of muslims were turned prisoners and a bunch like 3000 were executed in a day.
I bet you'll be hearing a lot of vulgar stuff when youre walking around those alley ways

I don't remember much about the 3rd crusade either. But I am pretty sure that the Christians only killed musilums...and not arabs. I think i remember some sort of time of peace were both religions lived together in peace before the 3rd crusade...i might be crazy. But i did hear an interview of either Jade or some other creator of the game that said that everyone talks in arabic and you push a botton to translate it into english. If that is true it is going to be very realistic and will put the gamer further in the game.
