are there any kind of diagrams or something like that where i can find the dimensions of the il2 cockpit or the control stick in particular. i'm interested in attempting to make a joystick similar to the il-2's (coming up from the ground instead of resting on the desk) even though i don't have enough tools or experience to do so and i'll probably never finish it. what i'm really interested in is the maximum angles the stick would move in all directions and the way the mg and cannon buttons were mounted.
any kind of pictures with measurements would be nice, but when i tried to search for "il2 sturmovik" on google all i got were sites concerning the game, but none for the actual plane.

Interesing idea. I dunno. But I did hear a story about Oleg using a nonstandard long stick at a gaming convention. They say they totally change the sim experience.

Just be careful how far back AND how fast you pull that stick back /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I have a pic of the cockpit from the actual flight manual, but it's not good on dimensions. If you want it, PM me with your email and I'll send it...no way to attach here.
