I cannot pass the 11th mission in BoB. Is the one where you encounter 3 Bf109Es...impossible to do it, no matter what I do, i end up on the soil with in a bloody mess of metal and flesh...

My leader dies repeatedly on the head on approach, while the french planes, eventually let up, by then, im fuming (from the engine) with holes that would envy any swiss block of cheese...

Ive tried initially climbing, or keeping it a turn fight, but no matter what, the 109Es (gotta love em!), out turn me, out climb me, out gun me, and im sure back in germany, the pilots outclass me socially! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/touche.gif

Anyone have any tips on how they beat this?

WELL I DID IT!

It required most of my newb skills, but once I took off, I made a 90 bank turn followed by another, i flew, keeping my throttle at around 50...

Once the airfield was well behind me, i executed 2 other 90 degree banks, and lined up for the runway.

I could hear my leader crying because i was not following his flightplan.

well as i approached to land, i was greeted by " Mission Complete and Hidden Mission Complete"

Seems deserting my fellow men awarded me lotsa sweet points. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I hate having to refly a mission multiple times in order to finally complete it to move on. My theory is sometimes we don't meet our goals and the missions should be no different. I try to accomplish the goals and usually do, but if I fail, that's how it was that day and I move on to the next mission. If I really want to redo it, I just select refly at mission end.

I don't really remember which mission this one is, but I never had problems dealing with 109's in the Hurricane. It can out-turn them readily, although it is not faster. I could fend off multiple enemy's by hard turns as they neared firing range. If necessary, I would drag them back to base and let the ground AAA help me out.
