What gives? Is it designed to indicate TAS in addition to IAS? Which is which?

the b-25 has this, the higher number will be the ground speed.

Yeah, in bombers and such, especially if you switch to a bombardiers position, there will be two needles. One is IAS (the lower number) and the other is TAS.

Doesn't the 262 have such an indicator as well?
