I currently have a Radeon 7500 64M DDR. I was wondering what would be better: a gforce fx 5200 128 Meg or a Radeon 9200. I am looking to spend about $150.

Thanks.

Get a 9600Pro for $163. It would be twice as fast FX5200 or R9200

I give you the picture, you figure it out where to get it.

The 9600 pro is $200 at best buy. The non pro is $169. What's the difference?

Best Buy just had the 9600 Pro on sale for $169. I would suggest you shop around and give it about a week or so. Between the major stores one of them will have it ion sale.

The GPU clock speed is differences depend on the manufactory. And the Non Pro has only half of the memory bandwidth along with the half cut bus to 64bit compare to Pro's 128bit.

Some 9600Pro with reduced Capacitors on board can not run at the 400Mhz at all. So watch out for the PCB layout, a good board can even handel extreme overclocking.

How different would the performance be between the gforce 5200fx 128mb and the radeon 9600 pro? Would there be a drastic difference between the two? Remember i'm using the radeon 7500 now so it won't take much to out perform what I have now LOL. I'm just curious because for $129 I can get the Gforce. I meant to say it's the gforce 5200fx ultra.

Thanks.
