Well, after reading that thread earlier, I decided to try and catch the Bismarck's last struggle. To my surprise, it actually happened. Screenshots.

The patrol area.

The message flashes across the wires. History is in the making.

Contact! Hood approaches.

The British warships approaching.

Fire! The British and German juggernauts fire their thundering guns. I could hear the firing from 9 km away.

Bismarck putting shells on target. The fire was amazingly accurate.

Hard hit, Hood begins to slow. Her firing slowed and her screws stop turning as she is dead in the water. Fire breaks out and DC crews try desperately to save the ship.

Bismarck's sister ship continues to brutally pound the wounded British warship.

Hood sinks fast, taking most of her hands with her.

I captured this last image of Hood's bow as she slipped to the murky depth, bottom almost 4 miles down.

After losing contact with the other British warship, which sank Bismarck's sister ship, Bismarck limps away into the mists of the cold North Atlantic, heavily wounded.

Some time later, after unsuccessful attempts to help, I get this message. My heart races. Engines full speed ahead!

All in vain. My crew wept after receiving this message. A lot of good sailors would not go home today.

I did manage to catch a support ship, a C2 loaded with supplies, at the tale end of the engagement. Torpedoes away! Split in 2, sank in under 10 seconds. My own revenge for Bismarck.

This all happened very quickly, so if you are going to try to see this yourself, which I urge you to do, as it is VERY cool, then be there no ater than 0100 on May 24, 1941 in the patrol area in my screenshot. Hope you enjoyed!

Heh...

You made the same mistake the British did, you assumed the Bismarck was in front while it was in fact the Prinz Eugen.

So your shots are of the heavy cruiser and not the Bismarck. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

So if I understood things right the position would be AD52749'ish .... if the grids are

123
456
789

and there is subgrids within grids.
