This is kind of OT. A few weeks ago I saw a plane fly low overhead. We saw the same plane today (just now actually, around 2:15pm GMT.) The plane is rather strange, and I am puzzled about the aircraft. It looked a bit like the P80, with a similar wing and fuel pods at the end of each wing. It looked like a vintage jet, and sounded like it as well. However, unlike the P80, it appeared to have a split, V-like tail. It seems to be a training aircraft of some sort, but I'm not sure what it was. Does anyone have any ideas on what kind of plane it was?

It could be the Fouga Magister Trainer. What do you think?

I've seen this Air Corps trainer rip high speed through the Avoca Valley in Wicklow many times.
