ok i'm new. So maybe this gives me a differnt outlook then some of the others. There have been quite a few post the PF is not what they felt it should be and that the patches were not good enough. This is a game and as such it will never be right to all. I think the group have forgoten. What it was like not to have any suport. I have come from 2 game with online play MW4 and Redbaron 3d. Both of these game have had there suport up and walk away. With in a very short time the game have deterated to almost nothing. Take the time to think about the fact that Oleg could have reasled PF and moved on to the next game. Thank them for the patchs that you have gotten. and be happy that they are contueing to suport this game. They could very easly not.Sometime I think we are so rich that we complane that "the steak is not cooked right." while others are lucky to eat.
In this game the steak is the patchs. The others are the games with no suport. So thank you FB/PF makers for a good game. And thank you for trying to make it better

Ritter_Cuda, good post.
And it's so true, as it's been said many times before. Some people just can't read or what they read just doesn't sink in.

Oleg and crew are the best at supporting FB and PF. I do imagine tho they are sick of the whining. One of these days they'll say they've had enough and then some will whine all the more. We need to support them too with our patience, and be very thankful they've done as much as they have for us all.

Helmet? I don't need no stinking helmet. LOL http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I've been seeing this as long as there have been P.C. games released. It is reasonable to expect this to continue for as long as PC games are being released. Too bad Will Rogers or Mark Twain aren't still around to provide us with some top notch witticisms on the subject.

What's REALLY funny is how so many who have PF refuse to fly it much due to the minor things not included yet....What's even funnier, is 90% of the stuff they are p.o'd about is for the side opposite of that which they fly.

Now for the real kicker....After they whine and complain about not having the items in the sim the Japanese would be using, and therefor refusing to fly pacific.....They then complain about how the FMs are all botched, yet oddly even though I fly Japanese mostly, when they were all claiming Corsairs would not launch off static carriers, and HellCats stalled too easily, etc....

I had no problem successfully accomplishing the very same things they said didn't work...Worked for me, not for them....Any idea why?

I practiced, hence flew Pacific.

Frankly, there is so much to play with with what we have I've still barely touched on most of it....Betty schmetty...It will be fun, but I'd suggest learning how to fly the planes you intend to fly first anywho.

p.s....I don't need a helmet, my heads to hard, skull to thick, and sticks and stones may break my bones but unsubstanciated whines can't hurt me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

That's why I counted myself amongst the 14 members of 'the hive' that found some of what he posts amusing.

He might assume that because I take umbrage at what he posts I have a problem with him personally.

As is happens, it's far less about what he posts than how he articulates his so-called grievances.

Patches don't taste as good as steak. Plus these steak houses ain't cheat especially the ones a date want to go to (cough...Outback... cough). There nothing wrong with wanting you $15 steak done and not a sign of being unthankful just want the services you are paying for. This is also true with PC games. while I agree the Oleg has a good job on the planes themselves which PF is a plus for online players yet I can see how an offline players may find PF disappointing.

So In my opinion I got my money worth and am thankful but of course I'm paying $45 a month for internet. Those gamers who don't are just out of luck which what make consoles to them more appealing all the time. Patches themselves is not a big plus for the pc game world especially the huge ones. So in being thankful I'm with you there.

And you don't need to be in WA for that - standard pub counter meal prices all over Queensland. And the beaches are nice here http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

"OK - I'm tired of explaining myself to you now - but as your comments may give others that don't know me the wrong impression - I'll have to (yet again) explain myself to you."

This would be a first actually.

"ElAurens is the first person I've needed to ban - I was figuring out the control panel in order to facilitate the ban when he came back and posted here. There was _no agreement._ Got it!"

What I got is that if you did your job on a thread you populated, instead of selectively viewing individuals you target, the ban may not have been necessary.

"I didn't like the fact he came back and posted here either - as soon as I saw it I thought "Thanks mate" - talk about giving the troll more ammunition.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif"

LOL! Still can't get away from the lame labels I see.

"cwojackson - I'm fed up of _you_ questioning _my_ integrity! Cut it out now - you _don't _know_ me!_"

LOL! And you assume to know me? Ever heard of the pot calling the kettle black?

"I'm confident that anybody on these boards you might like to seek an opinion about me wouldn't have a bad word to say. I've been here since 2001 - so plenty of time to have made a few enemies if that's what I'm about."

I'm equally sure that your position within the "fan" base is well cemented...you champion them.

"You seem to have a problem with 'authority' and to you I suppose I represent that."

Authority? Nope, I've never had a problem with authority. Now if we discussing people who abuse their the authority they claim...that's a different issue.

"Well guess what buddy? - I come here becuase I actually enjoy the game - not because I want to spend my time bantering with the likes of you."

Which would explain why you follow me around posting your angry responses to my posts...do I threaten your game or your authority?

"Reply? Don't bother - I won't be coming back to this thread to read it. I've heard it all before..."

Of course you will...your ego demands it. Of course I'm sure your surrogates will line up for you.

CJ can be a valuable resource for Newbies if he/she *wants* to. CJ reminds me a bit of last year's RBJ (RayBanJockey), the "internet's greatest online ace etc..." lampooning the online internet "ace" community over the sim getting crippled trim as a "fix" for the internet trim cheat that also crippled offline players. But RBJ did it through classy humour and self~parodying satirizing comedy that sent the online community into frenzied Riots every time he posted, not combative one~liners made to self-replicate more combative one~liners, a posting technique that has a short lifespan on better webboards. RBJ lasted a long time here, and don't ask how I know this but--some secretly miss him/her. :bowsmileyface.rbj:
