Sorry if this is too off-topic, or if it has been mentioned already, but I just found out about an upcoming series on Showtime about the Borgia family. I figured since some people on here (myself included) enjoy historical stuff like this, I thought I'd share it.

Again, sorry if this is old, I looked but couldn't find another topic about it. Here's a link to the official site:

...What exactly is it suppose to be or be about ?

From what I gather, it's about the Borgia families rise to power.

Spoilers from ACII

I think the show begins around the time Rodrigo Borgia (The Spaniard) becomes Pope. And as an added bonus, Rodrigo is played by Jeremy Irons!

I say we all write in and complain about the "historical accuracy" ask them where was Ezio in all of this and why wasn't it covered that the Borgia where secretly templars that wanted to control Italy with pieces of Eden... just to see their reaction.

as if the Borgia's don't make the Catholic Church look bad enough... now Showtime is involved. I can't imagine what will be on this show...

it's not letting me view it. When does it play each week and on what channel? And does it only play in certain countries?

Rodrigo Borgia will have to deal pot out to Rome to keep the Vatican afloat in a self-destructive delusion that everything will work out that way, Juan and Cesare will spend time debunking science in the name of religion in public forums, and Lucrezia will start working as a sassy nurse in the local hospice.

(I could have gone with an homage to Dexter in there, but, really, how would you be able to tell the difference? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

I can't watch the video in the link, and we don't get Showtime here in the UK, as someone else said.

Hopefully, it'll be on the History channel.

Damn it, I feel left out, I can't watch it due to my location! Oh man. Is there a possibility this video is uploaded in youtube as well? I'm in Canada so this video would not show.

It looks like The Borgias will be on Sky Atlantic over the summer in the UK.

Just seen the commercial for this, it will be playing here in Canada. Man it may make me hate the Borgias even more
