Isn't that a bit of a weird line to hear in a game where no guns are present?

I admit it could be regarding the arrows, but as I was in a crowded alleyway with no clear rooftops that would have been pretty impossible.

What? Are you sure they said that?

I'll join in with the complaints! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

<LI>Also when guards say "he can't run forever" when obviously, he CAN.
<LI>And when Templars go "HASHASHA!" Why speak in a different language in an English speaking game?! IT MAKES NO SENSE!
<LI>In Eternal Sonata, the characters go on about using their dark attacks when they are CLEARLY in the light. WHAT'S WITH THAT?!
<LI>And in the same game, someone says "They're attacking because they're scared!" WHAT THE HECK?!
<LI>When people make threads that don't need to be made because they are so pointless and don't even need questioning http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Yeah. I've heard it 3 or 4 times now.

As for kew414, I understand why you have to be like that, this forum is full to the brim of pointless "Release" topics, even if I did bring something to discuss http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

They meant bows. So what's your point? Even if they couldn't have shot you at that moment from rooftops...

Indeed. You fire a gun, and shoot an arrow. Therein lies the difference. And perhaps the guard mouthing off is doing so to nearby archers cos the AI probably does not cater for roofs http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

There. Cleared that one up.

The Green Hornet seems to have a grudge against his former assistant, I wonder what Bruce Lee did to annoy him......... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Yes it does, the crusaders weren't all English. It makes the game more realistic.
Let's put it like this:
The Animus is able to translate what Alta´r remembers hearing. But since he probably didn't understand any French and German, the Animus couldn't transalte those sentences. So it just plays them the way Alta´r remembers hearing them.
And the guards are actually shouting "Assassin" but it's pronounced differently in French.

I know you're just being you kew, but regarding the english thing, didn't Lucy say that only some things that seem to be important are translated to English in the <STRIKE>game</STRIKE> animus.

EDIT:
