Man, the Finnish AF was cool! Shooting **** down and then flying it right back at the enemy! My hat's off to them!

Photos taken during the trip to fetch the IL-4s can be seen at Virtualpilots.fi

Virtualpilots - Diary (http://www.virtualpilots.fi/hist/ukraina/lundelin/)

According to Finnish test flights the Lagg-3 was pretty good plane when comparing to other aeroplanes in Finnish Air Forces. Some qualities were not so good though. For example the stalling speed with flaps out was 220 km/h.

But unlike the Lagg-3 we have in IL-2 the Finnish Lagg-3s could withstand diving speeds of over 700 km/h.

IMO the Finns had one the most resourceful militaries in history. Just look at the Winter War.
