I believe that with the Flaming Cliffs add-on there was 6dof added into LOMAC for the zoom functions only. I am pretty sure that there is no lean ability.

you never seen it on simhq nor the 1c saitek russian convention link bearcat?

Its looks good but would be much better if they added the longbow, eurocopter, Westland Lynx then some of the older gen choppers like hien, cobra etc.

A chopper sim would be great but if it had different nations choppers. These game engines would be perfect for them lomac and il2 becuase they looking really detailed 1000m and below.

It's the same cannon that's on the BMP-2 (and two of them are on the BMP-T.)

IIRC when with Black Shark it'll be fully implemented. There are also rumours that they're going to do the same as Oleg did with PF ie: It will install as either merged with LOMAC/FC or as a standalone product. I would assume though the same MP limitations will apply with the different versions being incompatible online.

Its the best sim on the market, no doubt. The externals and FM of SU25T are amazing, none other flight sim has as advanced FM as frog, be sure. I love it!

pretty much what Loneranger said "simulation" is what it's billed as and thats what it is,bloody good thing too i think as there's heaps of arcade stuff out there to pick from so a good proper heli sim is gunna be a hell of a lot of fun http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

the landscape can be modded(legaly) to a much more belivable state as well as a whole bunch of other add-on's that improve the overall look of the sim(my lomac install looks great!)

from the black shark forum

As for what happens after Black Shark, the team has several aircraft modules currently in development (this could include development of 6 DOF cockpits, avionics or flight dynamics). While the A-10A Suite 2 module will still likely follow the Black Shark, the following aircraft are also now planned for DCS in development at one stage or another:

1- A-10A Suite 2 (latest version of A-10A in active use)
2- A-10C Suite 3 (we now have permission from the USAF to develop an entertainment version of the simulation we developed for them. We are very happy and excited about this).
3- AH-64A Blk. 49A
4- Su-27
5- F-15C
6- Mi-24V
7- F-16C
8- MiG-29A

They are aiming for a release in 2008. The next phases will probably be the A10a and the AH-64A Apache with in a similar level of detail.

Guys, I did give it a hard look.

The reviews just completely made my eyes glass over. Hundreds of PDF pages to learn (hopefully) one avionics system, hours of time to figure out how to just get it started and hovering... etc...

If you like that, cool! I am awed by your patientce and knowledge of modern military systems. Honestly.

I'm just too frazzled after a day of tearing the guts out of a 911 or a Bentley to want to learn something even more complex, for fun.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/touche.gif

I tried LOMAC, way to frustrating for someone with no prior military service to understand all the acronyms, systems, etc... Hell I could'nt get the freaking throttles on the A-10 to work.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I'm just an old crumudgeon I guess. A first gen Bell in Korea would be cool though.

And I would like to see a bit more complexity in SOW:BoB's aircraft management, fuel usage in particular needs some help.

So, carry on and enjoy the modern stuff.

I'll be back here in the 40s and 50s learning about old things.
