I was reading a thread a before il2fb was released saying that hi reflective surfaces were already written into the sim. Will we see high reflective surfaces with the new patch?

IIRC the inclusion of Alpha maps, or something similar, will likely be a feature of the next-gen sim from Maddox Games.

Anyone who did skins from Tribes2 will remember the good results you could obtain from some adroit adjustment of the Alpha layer to provide metallic, shiny or mirrored surfaces.
