So I wanted to start a new career, so I did and went on my first patrol. Suddenly, angels sang, Jesus patted me on the head, and a convoy appeared and I destroyed the whole thing after an hour of deckgunning and torping. With a few torps left (I was flying high in my VIIB), I sailed north and ran into another convoy! Didn't kill the whole thing this time, but did mess up some tankers and C2s, for a net total of

110,000 tons.

So what does a beast of a captain get for 110K on his first cruise? A ton of crappy medals http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif. Five crosses and twenty-four clasps. Two promotions were nice though.

What a prank http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

You had a band playing for you when you returned to base and some pretty nurses waving. Don't forget that! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

And those long-stem red roses must've cost a bomb - or 4 tins of coffee and 6 packs of cigarettes.

Well, I suppose a promotion to a desk job and a few fine concubines is out of the question, so perhaps a few rounds for the good ship Lollipop and her crew?

Just kidding--the ship is named Bob the Magnificient Conqueror. Or U-48. Or what its used to being called, "youstupidSOBcan'tyoufirejustoneworkingtorpedotoday ?!"

this morning i intercepted a BDU informed covoy off the north cost of ireland -in the WORST weather ive ever seen in any game in my life!!
the fog was so thick the only thing i sunk with my blind shots was an american C2 and its june 1941 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Unfortunatly it ended when i didnt see the attacking DD until he burst out the fog - 300 meters away from me, head on at a speed of like - mach 1, (dont know how the hell he saw me!!!) about 2 seconds later the noise of his bow tearing though the hull of my beloved VIIC made me cringe http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif- but **** i love this game http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Your actions are noted by high command. You are promoted on the spot to a desk job. In Berlin.

Hitler has tea with you, and asks you how you like your new job. You tell him it f*ng sucks.

You are promoted to landfill material.

Play again?

You are promoted to landfill material. Would've hated to see what a demotion would've entailed. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hitler drank tea? What kind of German was he!?

I'm still waiting for the new Pope to change the wine at Mass to a pitcher of Beck's http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Oh, and once again, I got lucky with 129K tons, and guess what? A few more crosses (ok, this time i got like three 1st class crosses) and enough clasps to hand out to the rest of the crew. High Command just ain't as generous as they used to be....it's still 1940, are we running out of metal to make the medals already?! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
