Hey guys, I wanted to say that my online flying experience has been nothing but the best of fun for me and I do value all of the pilots I have flown with and against. Even though many of us may never meet, flying and talking with all of you and having a good time is a friendship in my book. Guys like Workky, Wasp38, Joesph "Crash 1" on War Clouds, PaganNomad and Sargazm are just a few off the top of my head. Not only is this a great game, but it has an excellent community as well. Carry on gents, and do watch yer six. Gustavflyer over and out.

i have more 'virtual' (online) friends than rl friends, next year some of my squad mates are meeting up at the warbirds airshow at Duxford.
they are from the USA, Canada and the UK (as i am), i'm really looking forward to it.

Isn't it amazing how quickly you can bond with people online...especially while using Teamspeak.

After only 1 game of FB you have made new friends that you didn't have before.

What's even more amazing is that in RL you'd probably never even have spoken to all of these people if you'd been in a pub at the same time. This sort of community is great for breaking down the normal barriers and cutting through our normal preconceptions that we base on age, dress or gender.

yes , in HL make me meet alot of good friends out there not olny a same squad

I still remember two years ago when I fly 109F and meet one yak ...oh he so good skill and manage a beautiful aircombat that I never seen before we dance together about 5 mins I was good in deflection shooting so I have more chance to ping him with machine gun, I respect his skill so I not commit him with 151/20 and let him bail land with black smock , and he said" no chance to shoot you" I give him a smile sight , I forgot his callsigh now.

that was my great experience time when meet a good friends out there

True, I very much doubt I'd ever spoken to some of the people I know from the forums if I had met them in RL. But having got to know them quite well online I have occasionally shared a drink or a visit to Hendon with some of them, and it has always been a good experience.

Oh, I've been with this community a long time. I've met and made some cool people! I love it! It actually helped me learn how to make friends IRL.

Back in my CFS1 days we used to get different squads together once a year and have LAN competitions. We did St. Louis, New Jersey, Dayton (hundred year anniversary of flight).

Great fun and great meeting the people you flew with and against. Even had T-shirts, plaques, and commemerative items available.

Made some great friends during those road trips.

I agree with what everyone here has said. I have made some freinds from all walks of life and countries around the world here...where else could you do that?? ~S~ to all my newfound freinds and those yet to be. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
