View Full Version : He111-Z Had a Cloaking Device...

I was flying along in FB last night, testing out various LW gunpods against Russian He-111Z's. I shot at this one for ages, and cleaved off one of the two He-111s that make up the five-engined super-tug, foolishly believing that this would sufficiently impair the aerodynamic properties of the aircraft, and thereby cause it to crash. Yet I was proved dramatically wrong, for the sturdy He-111Z does not seem to need a complete set of wings in order to keep flying!

Then i figured out what i was doing wrong. I had been fooled by the apparent explosion of the starboard He-111. I'd assumed it had been blown away. In fact, I'm now pretty sure that the 'explosion' was instead a side effect of the He-111Z activating some kind of "invisability machine" . Obviously, the ever-watchful hun have fitted their larger aircraft with a sort of cloaking ability. Since the aircraft needed to mount this was large, we can assume that the device is very heavy, and as yet unsuitable for deployment in fighter-size aeroplanes. The fact that the tailwheel of the starboard he-111 and the entirety of the port he-111 is visable, means we can also assume that the device is not yet fully functional. Still, when the Condor makes its eventual appearence, be wary, for cunning Jerrys might have fitted it with a similar cloaking contraption....

Maybe the Germans got a cloaking device from the Klingons in exchange for lederhosen and sauerkraut /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

i had a Dogfight against a squadmate ... i was in a PE-8 & he was in a Zwilling
in a collision which the bugged collision model in FB left me fine , half of the Zwilling fell to the ground . he carried on & flew for another 2 minutes dogfighting with me fine as ... didnt feel like it was any worse at turning he said ...
after his motors went on fire he tried landing & nearly got it down perfectly

its a Ai only at the moment ... it has to be in the plane list to be selectable ... ie someone has to have put it there ... as with the PE-8 its outside view only as all Ai planes are

Actually some planes do have the cloaking ability, however it can only be seen in online co-ops, where the planes have a delayed start, and is only available to AI planes (to avoid accusations of cheating).

The other players in the co-op will NOT be able to see the cloaked AI planes, but fortunately because of a bug, the server always will be able to see them.

It is because the ai planes are spawnin in game later than players. So change the "time" to same with every plane.
