View Full Version : Unknown 109/FW190 instrument?

I know what almost every instrument is in the 109G-2 but when i jumped down in the G-6 i notice this http://upl.silentwhisper.net/uplfolders/upload0/unknown_instrument.jpg some one that knows wath that is for instrument?, i found it in the fw190 to dont remember which model, i dident find anything on the internet i just have to know i am a to big 109 freek to just live in uncertainty http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It is a "homing indicator"...so my guess being it was used with radar guidance.

AFN-2 indicator. For radio homing, it includes altitude (glideslope) and direction (localizer) display needles. Used for terminal navigation and approach. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Backwards reading from what you're used too, needles show your location relative to glideslope so you wouldn't chase them, you'ld run from them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif.
