Newbie to the forum. While I have owned Il2 for about a year, I have never given it a chance as I really am not too thrilled about the Eastern Front. BUT, once I started really playing the game (this past weekend) I have to say I really dig the game even if I still yearn for a Spit and the Channel.

Anyways, I was wondering where the best place to play coop missions is? I have been dabbling in dogfighting here at Ubi but have noticed a signifigant lack of coop missions. Is hyper lobby better? I have never used hyperlobby so any assistance with my noob questions is appreciated!

(Will probably pick up FB after the patch is out too)

Sorry my friend, you won't find many people flying IL-2 at Hyperlobby, although a few. Typical proportions are like 20 people in IL-2 to 500 in FB. I have no idea about the state of coops, but they're not even very common in FB right now because of scripted dogfight servers (you'll learn about that later).

Welcome to the community, and do pick up a copy of Forgotten Battles if you want a better online experience. There's no sense in waiting until after the patch either, FB is extremely playable now, and you have to download the patch anyway, waiting for it won't help unless you are having second thoughts about whether you will buy FB based on people's opinions. Don't.

Have fun,
Mike

Welcome!

Co-ops at both ubi and Hyperlobby are in short supply. FB is where the Co-op action is.
You may occasionally find a Co-op at Hyperlobby, I've never seen one on ubi lately.
Of the two, I prefer Hyperlobby.

That said, if you live anywhere near a Best Buy store or an EB Games store, Forgotten Battles is currently $29.99.

Don't delay, buy today!

Thanks for the heads up guys!

I have only really been waiting to get FB because I haven't really played much IL2 yet, just working my way through the campaign currently and have been gettting my hands dirty online in dogfight servers. But I will definately pick up FB though. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

(Unfortunately up here in Canada FB is still $59.99, if I'm down in the US in the next while I should pick it up)
