I have done some tests on Me-262 75% fuel. On the west-europe map.I took off trimmed the plane, and started to climb when I had the IAS of 300 km/h.
The climbtrim was set so I never exeeded 350 km/h IAS and never came below 290. I put the throttle so high I could without overheating. It was between 85 to 100% depending of height.
It took me 12 min to reach 7000m.
According to figures from an old aircraft magazine "airdefence weekly?" the roc for the 262-1a is supposed to be 6.8 minutes to 19.686 feet.
Which gives the correct figures UBI-soft or the magazine.

Do you think that Air Defence Weekly did it the way you did? (i.e. 75% fuel throttle settings etc etc etc.?) Or do you think that they did something different.

I just did it again today. Thought that maybe things had changed since 4.02.

When I did it with full tanks on Crimea (just now) I got to 19686ft/6000m in 5:57 (counting only the time from rear wheels off the ground) - If you include the engine start up then add a nother 58 seconds.

I also topped out the level flight speed at (a hair) over 800kmph at 10000m. (wonder woman view speed that is.)

Got a track to show you too if you want.

Any statistic found in aircraft flight manuals are usually based on aircraft empty wieght unless otherwise stated. Also, it's usually test pilots that manage to get that sort of performance out of the aircraft.

Please clearify, is my signature "religiously offensive"?
I have used it since Wed June 23 2004.
If the message is for me, whats the offence?
