'Standardize pilots' as in making sure their controls are all assigned alike?

Set it up for one pilot completely the way you like it.
Go to that Pilot's folder under 'Users' and have a look at the Settings.ini file.
All assigned keys and controls are stored in this file.

You could copy that file over to all other Pilot's folders.
(Note: they will also all get equal 'Year of Birth' and 'Place of Birth' this way. And there's also some skin-info in the file. Their usage/assignment may get affected too!)

Sorry 'bout that missing driver, can't help ya there, wait for other MS stick users...

Have Fun!

Microsoft stopped supporting all their controllers a whie ago now (funnily enough about when the XboX came into existance).
There are no Windows XP drivers for any Microsoft game controllers.

Which sidewinder? I have a precision 2 & if I can still find the disc, I'd be happy to either find the driver & email or make a copy of the disc & send(if in USA) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I'll try & rummage up the disc to send the driver. I might, but don't hold me to it, have a slightly newer one before MS quit supporting their sticks. No idea on the Nvidia driver, I use an ATI card.

Bump kinda? What is the prob with yer sidewinder? I have xp pro W/ sp2 & latest updates. Occasionally my sidewinder acts up & I just put it into a different usb port. Seems to work on all the probs so far. I'll look to be sure, but I think I may stilll be on the 4.0 driver.

I don't use any MS driver's for my FFB2. I just plug it in and enable it (force feedback) in the game setup and woohoo. I also removed most of the bump and boom FFB folders from IL2 . . . so only the flight forces come back through the stick. This method (no Sidewinder 4 drivers) eliminates the variable centering and feedback forces but I find the ones I have by default to be absolutely fine.

Don't need drivers for it to work...mine doesn't. Not in XP anyways...

Thats a HUGE signature there...three images?

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro2 USB too on my WindowsXP Pro computer.
I use the software version 4 that came with the stick because I get better setup features than if I only plug the stick in and use the drivers that come with WindowsXP.
When I install the version 4 software WinXP will tell me that the the software wont work with WinXP, but it WILL. I use it with a Microsoft Forceefeedback Racing WHeel too.
