I dont know if you have seen this, but I saw a clip of the same thing. Differant reporter, and the Spit was comming in from the left to right. Well the spit was too low, and the reporter did not duck!!!!! The Spits wing clipped the reporters head! Fortunatly the reporter was OK, but put a nasty dent in the leading edge of the right wing.

I knew a man who was a teenager during the Battle of Britain. He told me about a similar thing that happened to him once. He was walking behind a hedgerow once when a whole flight of Spitfires flew over him at very, very low height.

They has a person killed in the RAF, after a herc drop it was norm for them to do a low beat up afterwards, unfortunately he was standing on the top of the vehicle at the time and was hit head on by the C 130, the mind boggles as to what they put on that death certificate /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I used to do camera work years ago, and the cameraman might have ducked at the last second, with a good well balanced tripod mount the camera would have held position. I know I would have ducked just think of those prop blades /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

LOL Sweet video! First time I watched it, I was looking at the sky for the Spit!

Gibbage, I saw that video, too. It wasnt a Spitfire, though..it was a small liason plane. About the size of a Cessna 0-1. A Spitfire hitting him would almost undoubtedly kill him...

That "reporter" is former sportscar driver Alain DeCadenet (SP?).

He is someone used to being on the edge of danger so if you can rattle his cage you've done something.
