Since I got back to the UK in early October, 2010, and fired my forum account up again I've noticed a lot of changes. Many people missing and not so much traffic as before.

Where have these people gone?

RealJambo
MaverickU2007
Tuddley3
KLCarroll (Socko2009)
Leandros

and many more.

I've done a search on the SH4 and SH5 websites and found a whole lot of arguments and bickering from early 2010 onwards. Is that where it started? It's like coming home to an empty house.

Thank God there are still some of the 'Old Guard' around. You know who you are and it's great to be able to share with the few that are left. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Yes it has become relatively quiet here over the last months. This is process thats going on since a few years now.

A lot of people do not show up anymore. This is also a result of SH-5 being such a dud. And a few other things.

And rumors about Celeon holding certain members of the forum prisoner in the lower levels of his bunker are absolutely false, let me assure you of that. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Like the rumors of Celeon stealing a milion of euros from Deustche Bank and running away in a Volkswagen while smoking dope with Angelina Jolie? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Yep.

The same nonsense like Celeon being the force behind the financial crisis or being seen fistbumping Julian Assange.

Some people are really paranoid and constantly make such stories up for their amusement. ..... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Like the history of Celeon dropping a cable coil through an elevator hollow because you were talking with Megan Fox? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Hehehe, this is funny. Just yesterday, completely at random, I remembered the story about the cable spool. Been a while ago!

Yea. I really love those adventures of Her Kaleun Celeon while on harbour leave.

Specially those about his military experience in the army, with all those lovely german weapons with spares in IIWW boxes http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Yeah. I wish i could remember half of what happened during my army time.

Most of the saved memories were somehow overwritten and everytime i try to access them , the only thing i get to see are variations of this image. Strange huh http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Now that they've ended the conscription, the beer breweries will suffer a horrendous sales downturn in 2011. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Getting a bit off-topic...?

I was genuienly asking if people had info on the forum members listed in my opening post?

I've been gone a long time and am not up to speed on developments on this forum since October 2008.

If you want to PM, you know how to do so.

You've got pm.

Which means, private message ... not prime minister or something. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

This place has become a virtual ghost town. Sad, really.

I'm astonished at the change. This used to be such a vibrant community. Lots of pals swapping tales and bantering, but now....very little.

You are right Kaleun1961, it is sad. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

I'm still here - thanks for asking - just not been as active - what with problems in real life, and dare I say it - playing other games - just not been as active in posting but have still read just about every post that has ever been made - apart from posts relating to the Silent Hunter V Beta (wonder when they are going to release the proper version?)

I took your advice (wish I'd never bought it) but it does make a good coaster! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I'm still here too, but I'm most often in another game ...
in my case, that's Rise of Flight.
(How are you liking the Gotha, Celeon? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif).

I still sail in my beloved SH3/GWX Gold occasionally (going there tonight, actually!) but I only loaded SH5 twice, then shelved it.

Much harder to get of the ground than the Handley Page, so much is certain. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Anybody found a way to prevent that it goes into that hard left turn once it is in the air ?
