Hi Oleg, any chance that the current Russian style gunsight on the P-39/400 will be corrected to the N3 model?

I would think that this would be a relatively minor modification and would make a world of difference as far as immersion goes.

As I mentioned elsewhere, nothing kills it for me more than scrambling in my '39 to ward off a Japanese raid, climbing hard and lining up the lead Betty...in my Russian style gunsight http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

But seriously, I can't imagine this being a significant job...the N-3a is already modeled in the P-40.

It wouldn't be a huge job per say but it does mean that they probably have to decompile the current version. Make the change. Recompile. And test to ensure there are no problems.

The actual change of the gunsight probably isn't the issue. Its all the extra work that goes into making it happen. I don't know their development process but this is broadly typical of software.

Thanks for the post Icefire...my comment about it not being a significant job is a comment from someone who has no idea how these things work and are made...I honestly didn't know that it would be that difficult. Unfortunately when it comes to 3D and 3D game engines, nothings really cut and paste. Word Processors just make us assume everything is as easy as that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I still think they should do it. Add the proper gunsight. But I'll bet there are other pressing matters to attend to as well...and it won't be a 5 minute or a 30 minute job. I'm guessing not.
