Bad Andy was a regular John Huston: "Can we get the sun angle better?" "Why not fire the guns?" "This time, do it with real - feeling ... EMOTE."
It took 23 passes (2 crashes) to get this shot; only then did the thought occur that we could've selected invulnerability. But,then ... why on Earth would one do that?
The footbridges are in Mohayask, Moscow Map. I don't know, will an IL-2 will fit through? Ju-88?

Wow! That is one heck of a shot!

So, that's what Il-2 looks like on a modern day video card!

At this time, I'd like to mention how much I hate DELL!

the link is broken but Rogodin's jug shot is pretty darn good - almost photorealistic (black and white and a but of blur...)

I have a 9600 - how do you improve quality for screen shots? I have no idea what anisotropic filtering is so if someone could enlighten me please that would be much appreciated.

Anisotropic filtering a the next filtering tecqnique past trilinear but it is combined with it as well. It decreases the blur effect when looking in 3d space down a pov.

Extremetech has a great article about it-and how it works-the algo differs between nvidia and ati but the skinny is that ati has less adaptable af than nvidia but in 95% of the situations the diminished IQ is never noticed. Ati has a static footprint where af is applied to all soping surfaces within the footprint based on the degree of slope (128tap max af on supersloping surfaces). Nvidia has an adaptive footprint (meaning the program decides when the shape of the footprint should change relative to the pov) and like ati the af applied within the footprint is variable depending on the amount of slope on the surfaces-BUT the maximum value of af applied by nivia is 64tap)-meaning at max AF the AF applied by ati has 2x the texture capacity and LOD.
