Due to UBI dropping the |FAST| server off of the list all the time, i am going to try something a little bit different. I have launched the server thru Hyperlobby. By doing this, the game is now joinable via IP, All Seeing Eye, and Hyperlobby. I have created a dummy server in UBIs lobby stating how to join the server. I have done this because, when the server drops off of UBIs lobby listings, there is no way for anyone to join the server. It is still up and running (i have not seen it crash yet), but you cannot join the server. IF a server is launched thru UBI's game service, you can only join it thru UBI Lobbies. BAD FORM on UBIs part i must say. So now all of you that have been trying to join the server via All Seeing Eye, you will now be able too. One downfall to this right now is, the only way to get a correct player listing is to use ASE. Hyperlobby will not know if ppl have joined via IP or ASE. I wish i had a better way to get around this.

Here is a little bit of info on the server for those who have not played on it as of yet.

The icon settings work like this. You will not get a team color at all. At 2km, you will get a plane type icon. This i feel a real life situation would be like. Then at 300 meters, you will get the planes ID. Deciding if the plane is a friend or foe is left up to your knowledge of the planes that fly on which side. As my server is always Axis vs Allied, this should be no trouble. I added the Plane id to help with cooperation between pilots.

My server runs Scripted with FB Daemon. I currently have 3 maps in rotation. My missions are always Axis vs Allied with all planes avaible to their repected sides minus jets. I have also added AI bombers to some missions as well, this is why external views are on. The mission on the server are generally like this. One side has an objective to destroy and the other side is to protect the objective. There are ground targets on all missions for one side. Generally, if blue is to complete an objective on one mission, the the next mission in rotation will have a red team objective. The missions are in no way historical. They are made with keeping ppl interested in the mission in mind and hopefully promoting team cooperation to complete the objectives.
I think i have summed up what i needed to here. If you have any questions, please reply to this thread. If this new way of launching the server does not go over well, i will more then likely just go back to launching the server thru UBI again and dealin with the drops.

I use and like your server very much (when I see it on ubi), but had been wondering why it was on, then off, with such great freqency.

I use both UBI and HL so I have a wider view of whats available, see you on HL .... and hopefully all the time from now on http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I was looking for your sever for the past couple of days - thanks for the heads up! I really liked the bombing missions.

For those of you who haven't flown on |FAST| yet, I highly recommend it. The missions are interesting, objectives well defined and the gameplay is smooth with a nice flow.

The plane sets are historical as mentioned and I think SpaRX has the best all around icon settings in the game. I really enjoy flying on his server, it has a good crowd that fights hard and treats each other with respect.


The missions really require teamwork for one side to be successful and because of that there is a welcome departure from the high noon pointless furball. I get a strong sense of satisfaction helping whatever side I fly on achieve the mission objectives.

AI planes are enabled so naturally externals are on, but I don't see anyone abusing it. The tradeoff is worth it to see the Pe8 drop the mother of all bombs on target http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif


Come check it out, it's well run, organized and objective oriented.

Great server SpaRX, as a fellow server admin I appreciate the effort that you have put into making it a rock solid place to fly.

Thank you all for the replys. I hope that everyone enjoys the server as much as i do. I am hoping of the next week or so to get some more missions up and running. Denbug, and admin on the server, has sent me a couple of missions that i need to look over and test for errors. So his should be up shortly. With today being christmas eve and christmas tomorrow, it might be till friday till i get them up and running.
Again, my main concern right now it getting ppl on the server. With the server not joinable thru UBI anymore, the server has lost alot of regular players. I am hoping this will turn around soon. I see no other way to keep the server up and running stable. The server just drops off of the UBI lobby too often for my liking.
