Okay many have seen this review but to those who haven't this supports my belief that PF was released many a month or two before it should have been.

This link came from netwings: Here (http://www.hexus.net/content/reviews/review.php?dXJsX3Jldmlld19JRD05MDA=)

Sorry I was a little drunk when I posted it the first time.

This is an awesome game. Ever played CFS3? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif It is not even in the same league as Maddox sims. I have been flying this sim since Il-2 and we begged for this game. I think it delivers the goods unlike any of its competition and we all know Oleg to be not only honorable but most generous about providing us with improvements and new planes. He always does superb work. Likewise the reviewer did not know how to operate the sim.

In other words...

Enjoy the game.

These days, most flight sims are released before they are ready because the publisher sets a deadline, frequently timed to hit holiday shoppers. Some sims have small problems when released, others have major problems, occasionally one is almost completely unplayable when released. Most get patched quickly, some get patched many months later, others never get patched. Be grateful that this sim was patched so quickly.

This link's already been posted (in working form) about 5 times, 3 of them in the first week of PF. Just enjoy the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

While I partially agree that PF was maybe released a bit early...patch 3.01 totally rectifies all but the flyable torpedo bomber "problem". So the reviews are now officially out of date.

I wonder how many people thought it was part of the play?

I know a thing or two about US history but not the small details like that.

BTW, is the plural for PC mouse also 'mice'? I mean, should you say "I bought two optical mice for my PC"? Sounds pretty weird...

It wasn't Columbus. It was this guy who proved.

Juan Sebastián Elcano, leader of Magellan's expedition survivors. The first men to travel all around the globe. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I love how people compare older software, that was designed around older, and different hardware limitations, to a new program that has faster and more powerful hardware to run off of.

CFS2 and 3 were great and fun in their time and now we have PF which will be great and fun till the next best thing comes along...

Under the circumstances 'mice' is probably the way to go - 'mouses' sounds a lot more awkward. "I bought two optical mouses for my PC".....hmmmm.
If you find this grammatical issue particularly troubling you could avoid it altogether - eg "I bought this optical mouse for my PC, and then I bought another one" (the subject of the minor clause being safely predicated by the major clause).

Phil C, the point was not to mention what a lame game CFS3 was out of the box but to enlighten, albeit way after the fact, this guy to the joy of this sim and to underscore the fact that it has no peer regardless of the review.

Chuck several people reported that they thought it was all part of the play. Sadly, the Pinkerton's took the blame but Lincoln had dismissed them two weeks prior citing his personal protection was a needless expense to the government. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif

I agree. My point is simply that there was too much push and not enough patience, perhaps if it was released with everything that 3.01 has sales would have increased with less negative reviews...

Did anyone buy Janes WWII "Squarond Commander", now this game was not even beta before it hit the shelf. As for support, there was very little before I placed it in the used heap on the shelf.

Yes we all knew it would be released too early but it's like getting a peek at the promised land of flight sims future. Keep the faith and Oleg will lead us there.
