Would it be possible to include some brown coloured trees, and some with no leaves just branches, along with the green ones that we have at the moment, maybe even some dead trees and shrubs and some with blossoms? It will make the ground look so much more realistic and this shouldn't impact the frame rate of the game. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif please Oleg.

Lyndon Johnson's 1964 "Daisy" ad, which contrasted the image of a girl picking petals off a daisy with that of an atomic bomb exploding and was intended to raise fears about Barry Goldwater's inclination to start a nuclear war.

Yes, I guess Johnson knew all about WAR. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Not a bad suggestion, but the forests(you know, the ones with the trees compiled of flat disks)kill my framerate when I fly down low. Used to not happen...../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

I can't remember what graphics card you have, but "Anisotropic" filtering selected in the FBSetup util, in combination with those parallax forests is a real killer. I think it tries to process all of the layers seperately as different textures as well as the normal ground texture. Less of a problem up high.

Setting up Anisotropic filtering independantly of FB in the Nvidia control panel tends to work out a lot better for me.

Holy feck,Clint! It worked! I can finally play in Perfect mode with little to no stutter! Low forest and low water flyovers are smooth as silk. It never occurred to me to turn off Anisotropic Filtering in the Setup. Thanks a lot!/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

My apologies for confusing the issue, I was talking about the stand alone trees scattered around the banks of the rivers and in the towns, not the wide area forest's.

More suitable in Western scenarios. Trees in Russia are mainly conifers, which are perennial trees. This is, they never lose or brown their leaves.

LMAO /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif I'm from Down-Under and just assumed that trees go brown in summer and/or lose their leaves in winter, in Russia and other countries. However there must be trees that die and some that flower. I suppose I should stop being pedantic. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Hehe, but if you have disabled AF in FBSetup you have no AF in the Game /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Doesn't look like you fella's think I'm being serious, now you have turned my thread into a lmao thread. Well in that case, I just caught a Blue Tongue Lizard in my front yard does any one want to buy it? I would post a picture of it but I don't have a digital camera to take a snap of it. And besides I can't post pictures here yet cause I haven't learnt how to do that. So now my topic is really OFF TOPIC. LMAO /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

You sure about that? I notice no major visual differences and I'm using AF through the ATI control panel. Will that not work?

E_Temperment,sorry for the hijack. I fully support your idea./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

The setting in the FB setup overrides whatever setting you have in the Nvidia control panel. Filtering will only be anisotropic if it is set in the FB setup, and the level will be decided by the Nvidia control panel.

I assume this is the same for ATI?
