S! Everybody, this was funny, so I thought I'd recount it.

I decided to start a FR German fighter stock offline campaign. So first mission, sittin on the runway, sirens going off, oh ****! Bombers inbound! Common guys, hurry up! Didn't think to check my control surfaces, cuz they always work right? Well, I get moving down the runway, in a huge hurry hopin no bombs will end my day. All sudden I realize, here I am, hurtling down the runway at 200 kph, and I have no elevator! Well, needless to say, I tap the down button, get airborne, still no stick elevator! Sure enough, I crash into the ground mere seconds later, killing my pilot, and, if not for the amazing refly button, the shortest pilot career ever. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif The problem, it seems was my joystick decided to not respond to any back pressure. Unplugged, and plugged back in, there we go! From now on though, I'm going to check those darned control surfaces! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif So, M$(prescicion 2)has defeated me again.

On a side note, I flew the mission again(with a working stick), and ended up getting lost. After I heard our guys say they were going home, I saw a 3 plane formation heading home, so I zoomed on over, assuming they were my buddies. However, I soon realized I'd found 3 P-40Es, oblivious to my 109. I managed to grey smoke one, and knock out the leader's engine before bugging out for home. I felt like those WWII pilots who do something silly like that, hehe.

Boy, I can never find enough reasons to love this sim!! Thank you Oleg!!!

Haha nice, woulda thought the AI planes would have seen you with their X-Ray vision. Itd be nice if it was like that in RL, to be able to sneak up on AI formations like that. We can only hope http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

But nice story http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I kid you not! I have the track too!

As soon as I fired at tail end charlie though, they broke all over the place, it was more luck I got the 2nd one(engine shot).

It was the most and best action I've yet had in an offline campaign, hehe

I lost my brakes one time while landing a B-25, and ran into a fellow B25 pilots plane, then I smelt smoke.

My Ch pedals had a wire break inside then short out. That was about the most intense immersion I have ever had added inadvertanly in the game.

My Precision 2 does that as well. I think they have a small glitch in all of them as I've had two of these and they both did/do it.

I've had it for three, almost four years now, and it only started doing this after I spilled a coke on it, that might have been my problem http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yes, AI are now sometimes completely blind if you can come on them when they don`t expect it. It really does work.

Toad, thats great... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

theres also the fact that night misns have to be played in a dark room at night for the best realism....you can actually see some stuff if you do that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

go thru the 430 objects menu.....you wont believ what u find. i discovered open hangars that yhou could taxi into. some were big enough to put several B17s into. they even have the gates to hickam field.

This game is so awesome! In yet another plane, I find more diversity and adversity!

I never really checked out the LaGG3 until last night. I started a campaign and notice that I only have two guns, my AI leader flys like he has a central nervous system disease, the Lagg3 doesn't like to roll to the right, AND I can rip the ailerons and elevators clean off in a high speed dive.

I think I'll be dying often in this Lagg3 show! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif Fun, fun, fun!!

Great immersion indeed
My best, flying with my squad online and got into a very hairy dogfight and was badly shotup, aircraft full of holes, red haze from being badly wounded, adrenalin really pumping. Staggered back to base and was in the process of trying to land the crippled craft when I looked down and there http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif was blood, real blood allover my shirt front.
BLOODY HELL,how real does it get!!!
For some unknown reason my nose had started to bleed and I hadn't noticed in the furious action. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif
