if every human has TWCB blood in them... how is desmond so "special" is it cause he has a higher dose of TWCB blood in him or something?

It's because he's both related to Altaļr and Ezio

Not every human has TWCB blood. Desmond is special because he has a higher concentration of TWCB blood because he has several ancestors from different sides of the family tree who are "true" assassins in the sense that they are the mix breeds between human and TWCB.

When they were talking about that in Revelations, it seemed so clunky and unnatural. The dialogue from Shaun, Rebecca and Bill, it seemed like they were reading a fan script.

Not every human has TWCB blood in them, only hybrids have. Desmond is the intersection of two long and highly important bloodlines of human-TWCB hybrids. Thus, he has an unusually high concentration of TWCB blood, making him highly adept at controlling Pieces of Eden and likely at interacting with any TWCB-technology.

Yes but Savonarolla used the apple for 10 years. Al Mualim used it to enslave all of Masyaf. Rodrigo had the staff for 8 years.

Are they just going to pretend all this never happened and that only Ezio, Desmond and Altair can handle them properly.

Bill made it seem like it wouldn't even work for him, which is major horse.

Desmond is the convergence of many Assassin bloodlines, and because of it, he has enough of the TWCB DNA to make him one in 10 million.

Well Savonarola wasn't very good at it.

Maybe bill doesn't have a high enough TWCB concentration to use the apple for the assassins ideal purpose.

Abbas could use it as well. Although not particularly well.

I reckon the bleeding effect plays a part as well.

Abbas completely failed when he tried.

Unless there's more in the secret crusade..

I think experience definitely plays a factor in how capable you are with the Pieces of Eden. Not to mention the Pieces of Eden themselves seem aware to an extent. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work for Bill because it didn't want to work for him same with Abbas.

Old Altair was able to kill anyone in range without harming himself unlike Ezio in Brotherhood who didn't have the same range and did so at cost to his own health. Altair held the Apple for numerous decades mastering it and it constantly told him to do things he couldn't truly understand but followed regardless.

I think the key to the Pieces of Eden isn't so much the person but what the object itself wants to further its own goal. A strong individual though seems to be able to manipulate them whereas a weaker individual can be destroyed by them.
