View Full Version : Is The test07a Copywritten Material?

Last night I was in HyperLobby and someone announced the patch was out. I thought, "Cool, I'll go get it"! I then went to the Official Forgotten Battles site and did not see any updates. So I went back to HyperLobby and asked the guy, "Where did you get the patch"? He posted a web site and I downloaded it. I saw nothing out of the ordinary as many patches are available at mirror sites and I saw nothing saying it was copywritten material.

Then today, someone in HyperLobby suggested I had unauthorized copywritten material. Let me make this very clear... I DO NOT STEAL... and as a result would like to know if I have mistakenly obtained information that is copywritten. I'm not asking if someone thinks I should or shouldn't have it. I just want to know if it is copywritten material. If so, I am happy to delete it immediately. I have not used this file or distributed it to anyone else.

I am new to computers, even newer to flight sims and gaming and even newer to online gaming. I wish to do the right thing. Doing the right thing does not include deleting files just because someone is jealous of my having data they don't have. If you are not a representitive of the company that owns IL-2 Forgotten Battles, I am not interested in your opinion. I would like a response from a representitive of the company that owns the copyrights to IL-2 Forgotten Battles. The question remains, is this file copywritten material? A simple yes or no answer to this question will enable me to do the right thing.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

The patch beta's have been leaked. I don't think Ubisoft or 1C:Maddox cares though. They arn't selling the patches so if you download the leaked beta's and it f*cks up your system, its your own problem. If it runs great, then good for you. I have the newest beta and it runs very well. I don't see or hear any bugs in it at all. The only problem I have now is I can't play online because very few people have it. Consider yourself fortunate to find a link to the leaked beta because many people want it and few people know where to find it.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

I'd like to point out to you, that it won't work online unless someone else has it too.

S! all,

A beta test is a beta test. It is not for general release and public viewing. The Patch I have been seeing is not official and the individual passing it around could be in serious trouble for doing so.

I too am a beta tester (Not for Ubi) and a Non-disclosure agreement is very straight forward. You are not to give it to anyone else because it is the property of the company that designed it...Period. The basic NDA states that you are held liable if given out to outside parties, Meaning that the individual Giving out the beta patch is Violating Copyright laws and is infringing on that company's rights over that product.

My suggestion for the idividual handing out that patch to stop because it violates international law.

Just my 2 cents as a flyer and a beta tester

And my suggestion is for 1C and Ubi to hurry up and release it, since making us wait longer for a patch that's months overdue already constitutes cruel and unusual punishment.

/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif = joke

And up to this point I've been fairly patient, but it is getting frustrating to the point that if it dosen't come soon, I'll settle for what I can find on HL.

S! Recon,

Please dont try to attempt to twist my post around. I am saying that a beta test should not be passed around until it is done. Sheesh!

Get real will ya.

yeah, i got the patch too, its very nice indeed. big impovement from the patch 5 which i was also able to attend. the Mk108's are fully fixed and are now a one shot one kill weapon on most VVS planes.

Stress levels have been sorted on all planes also, a yak will now break up at about 600 in a dive, so no more yaks out diving an FW !!

All VVS engines also seem more realistic now, which means they suck..which is good http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif they over heat much quicker just as they did in reality. just requires better engine management to avoid overheating.

No more siberian wood on VVS planes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif its just regular wood now and it will get big holes in it when shot with an Mk108 or 20mm http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

FW is finally sorted and especially its elevation control. it used to have almost no elevator responce at 600 but now you can even stall it at that speed, nicely fixed http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

There are lots more nice additions to the game that this patch provides. great work was done on it IMO. i personally love it and i think everyone will but you are likely to get loads of VVS pilots moaning that their superplanes have been downgraded when they have actually just been corrected http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thx oleg, great work mate http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah, La-7's are still very dangerous, which is probebly realistic. 08 fixed those damn sound bugs. I havn't played it much yet, but so far it is bug free except some old cockpit bugs and the AB cluster bombs not giving any kills. They are very deadly, but if you wipe out 15 trucks with them, you will recieve 0 kills/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif .
