Hi Hawkdog,

you mean dexmeister and the parhelia ?
It is here: http://forums.ubi.com/messages/message_view-topic.asp?name=us_il2sturmovik_gd&id=yzlwq

If there is one thing dex is saysing I agree with, it is the concept of having a large FOV spread over multiple monitors. It is amazing. Pair this with a Track-IR and the immersion factor is very high.
My Parhelia is now accumulating dust - being replaced by an ATI9800 pro.

The problem - for me - with the Matrox is: It is just underpowered for the task.
When it came out it was a little more powerfull than the GF3ti500. It certainly is weaker than an ATI7500 (non pro)

Now imagine to use this kind of rig for a relsolution of 2400x600 pixels. (Being 800x600 per screen). Right you end up with low FPS - and you have a poor resolution per screen on top. No way to crank it up. To keep the whole thing somwhat smooth all quality settings have to be quite low as well.

From my POV it is not the Maddox team who dropped the ball but Matrox. It is up to them to come up with graphics board up to the task - proving to OM, the work spend with them was not in vain.

Oh, and on widescreen: The center CRT on the pic below is a Sony 24 incher - 19:9 or something like that - Vietcong does support it - makes for an interactive "Platoon".

Wasn't Dex around from the beginning? I recall seeing his input what, almost two years ago here?
I haven't heard of the card, but he was always cutting edge pushing the envelope. I'll search for it and try and figure out why it got locked. The last I read was about two below Olegs reply.
hmm, that setup would not work with my uber-hacked 9800 pro I suspect, but three flat screens AND trackIR would be immersed alright.

It'll just seem like mindless spam to keep it on the mind, no?

thats neat running multiple monitors. I have always wondered what it would be like to use a monitor for each view, running 8-9 of them in a dome that you sit inside of. I cant imagine what kind of machine it would take to run it.

Your set-up looks very nice ,

I'm very interested to know what those 2 devices are next to the keyboard , on the left side.

One more question about the stick : I guess that is a normal stick which you have adapted ( made longer ).
Does it have force-feedback ? If so , how does it feel , do the forces feel weaker because of the bigger 'leverage'effect ?

Those are a

Microsoft game Voice (http://www.gamevoice.com/gamevoice.asp)

And a Saitek PC Dash unfortunately no longer available from the manufacturer.

The nearest equivalent would be the XKeys controller:
