The longer, the better. As long as it doesn`t go into 2009.

If the sim is going to be good, then the time it`s taken so far is perfect. If it came out too soon i`m sure you (among others)would be among the first to gripe at him for releasing it too quickly.

The best things comes to those who wait.

Thats the most realistic release date I've seen so far. I still don't believe any of them but thats about the time frame I am guessing at this point.

Basically I'm waiting for the pre-release hype to start being worked up by the Ubisoft PR department. Until that starts happening were not at release time yet.

This assumes that the good people at GoGamer have built a time machine in their basement and travelled forward to March 2008 to confirm SoW's release will be on that date. Which I'm pretty sure they did not do because if they had GoGamer Jason would be posting that he has ultra-advance copies for sale right now.

So, take it as just another guesstimation that may or may not be amended by the release of the 4.09 patch. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

yes - release dates on gamer sites are always wrong on the optimistic side....

look for SoW mid summer 2008 or later thanks to something mumbled indistinctly....

the longer it takes the better. i'm not ready for another pc upgrade. i say we all whine for a '10 update. we'll at least get two solid years of bliss before the end of the myan calendar.

So that would be "6 months, be sure" then?

Isn't a non-christmas date better for any game?

If releace is in "march" then there won't be any Ubipush to ship all the bugs to the customers by Christmas.

It could possibly be Christmas 2008. I'n not saying, but just saying, is all.

From what I have learned, Ubisoft are expecting the code in October 2007. Therefore, spring 2008 seems realistic. Looking forwards to it.

The key milestone is when the software goes "Gold" and the gold CD is delivered from the developer to the publisher.

The Publisher then usually has a significant QA process and comes up with a list of bugs that must be fixed. The publisher then kicks off all the back end plans including the PR and the real ship date. We will of course know when the PR kicks of to the public.

This is based on my experience.

Judas. The guy posts a nice polite comment saying nothing more than he'd hoped for a Christmas release and he gets labeled a whiner for his trouble.
