All this entering text stuff into a file myself has got me a little confused...how the heck do I do it??? Also when it tells you what to put in...the example it gives you is not the same as the stuff that is listed in the readme to put in...for example the readme says that you can set the missiondistance, yet in the example that is not listed. Also, it says you can tweak the campaign length, which is also not in the example. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me an example using all the items availbe to tweak so it shows me how it should look...thank you.

your not finding it, because it's not in there. Those lines it gives you are to be added. Just copy/paste them, and save them when it asks you.

I know, I am interested to know what each setting actually means. The readme was not very informative. I want to be able to know how to change it myself.

For example, they say just add this:

[DGen]
NoAirfieldHighlight
NoBadWeather
RandomFlights=5
MissionDistance=30
CampaignMissions=Hard
CampaignAI=Easy

But what if I dont want to have the NoAirfieldHighlight option on, or the NoBadWeather on, how do I make it so that those are still on? Also there is no object in there named CampaignLength, which is one of the features that they listed, why?

If you want "no bad weather". Then copy/paste that line in your conf.ini file, and that's what you get all the time. No bad weather. If you want bad weather later on. take the line out.

Some of them have numbers you can change. Which gives you easy/normal/hard. In that case put that line in the conf.ini file with the number you want.

Is this clear?

Sorry...if I am coming of mad, I am just perplexed at how weird this is. Thank you, weather thing is now clear, but why does the example not inculde the line that they described called CampaignLength, can I just insert that with the proper = and description? Or is it not possible and that is why the example doesn't use it? Thank you for your help.

Oh and do they need to be in a certain order?

Just put them at the bottom of the file list. It doesn't matter what order you put them in, and you don't need all of them either. Just use the ones you want.

This is the readme on length.

CampaignLength=VeryLong (Long,Medium,Short,VeryShort), default is VeryLong. Sets number of missions in campaign. Long is about 2 times shorter than VeryLong. VeryShort is about 10 times shorter.

If you want to change the default length, which is very long. You need to add the line:

CampaignLength= Then add whatever length you want.

On a similar note, How do you create the classes file to define the missions a plane gets & where do you put it, The README does'nt say where it goes,

For every career a file that defines plane classes for this career can be created. File name is ClassesNnX.dat, where NnX is career ID, like DeS for Geman Stuka. It is a text file that overrides default plane classes for this career, the format is:

PLANE ROLE,
for example:

FW_109A4 FIGHTER
FW_109A5 FIGHTER

They could have been a little more clear about this.

"An attack against a unit of Flying Fortresses was something like controlled suicide...Sometimes 50, Sometimes 80 machine guns were firing at you... You attempted to close your eyes & continue to fire, Frightened to death, Frightened to death."

Oberst Johannes Steinhoff (176 kills)

Actually I have one more question, the part that says MissionDistance=30, that isn't listed in the items to use. What are the allowable values for that item? Do you know? Or is it just anything?

Put in whatever distance you want. I believe it says if you put too short of a distance, that you may not find a fight.

It's the distance in kilometers that you should fly before target area(?). If that distance is shorter than the distance to the front line, you won't find a fight.
