I hope I won't be hearing german or russian when flying the zero offline. I guess its alot to ask though. It would be nice to hear japanese when using the comm.

We don't plan ourselves Japanese voices.
General purpose of Japanese aircraft to give them for online.

The voice pack is possible to create themselves, if you are speaking Japanese and if you are reading how to make it in FB files.

They are open especially for the users to create own and other than default languages.

Somebody did one for EAW.

I think alot of the voice comms are quite similar so perhaps it could be adapted.

yeah & it was nice sems like it was James Richards who did that one.
I actually thought of trying to contact him & ask if he'd want to do one for FB, but last I heard he was working on Strike Fighters.....Anyone in touch with him?

Yeah, it was Jamie who put it together. He was working on Strike Fighters but not sure if he is still there after doing the initial skins, he hasn't posted anything for a long time, and it seems it's now a one-man show with TK doing all the coding.

Would love to have a Japanese voice pack to go with those beautifull planes...

Personnally, I have made myself a fake "Japanese" speechpack by copying the Finnish speechpack in a new folder called JA. As Finnish sounds rather weird for my French ears, it is an acceptable solution for me !!! Of course, purists will kill me for that...

It's a nice idea DjTeD, however I can clearly hear the differences so I would really love to have real Japanese voices along with those Japanese aircraft...

That's what I've been saying since the news about the add-on were first released: offliners have few incentives with it. It seems that Maddox's new politics is to make onliners happy and let offliners slowly die. No more war scenarios, no more dynamical campaigns, no more offline maps (except Normandy, which is a concesion to coop Mustang-B17 whiners...), and aircraft out of context. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Let's hope the paid one solves some of this. That Zero is GREAT, but it's rather funny to see it fighting Chaikas abd wandering thru the skies of Smolensk... /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

It`s a pity the Japanese planes aren`t for any real offline use. I guess it would have had to be called IL2, Zero Forgotten Battles if we had a Pacific theatre.

A small mini (yes a one or two map pacific offline campaign) would have been nice..... And probably not too hard to do...

Well, amigo... I have made a Pacifique Campaign, and you can find it here :

www.checksix-fr.com (http://www.checksix-fr.com)

it comes in 2 files (Campagne Pacifique 1" & "Campagne Pacifique 2") and a patch.

It contains all the missions (around 120 missions offline and 30 online) and the necessary skins, so...

have fuin !!!

Could'nt agree more. For those of us who play to relive history, others play without any regard to history or realism. Note the proliferation of arcade servers online. Don't like the way its going....

yes i agree. i used to just want more and more planes like a lot of other players, but now i'm really appreciating the offline campaigns and missions, and i would rather have more features and missions than just new planes. i sure hope we don't just get a mess of new aircraft in the pay for patch, but i'm sure oleg's got in under control.
