I have tride the P-40 yesterday and my god it was evan more useless than the P-47. The P-39 is slow, i fall asleep while flying it. I don't under stand why the north american planes are so usless.
Why are the Russion plane's so easy to fly? In real life are they realy that much better than the American planes.

I find that the only plane i can use and compete with ant one is the LA-7.

Any i thought i would share my ranting.

The P-39 is as easy to fly as any plane, and it is not slow. The Airacobra is a great all-around plane that deserves respect.

The P-40 has the characteristics it had in reality IMHO. Turn is good, speed is decent, climb is bad. Good dive and firepower make this plane dangerous in the right hands. Still, it was outperformed by the 109 in reality as it is in the game.

The P-47 is still a good fighter/bomber in FB as it was in reality. But people need to understand that the P-47 is completely out of its element in FB. Dogfights usually take place at low altitudes and the P-47 generally performed much better at high altitudes. The P-47 also requires team tactics to use effectively, don't expect to win many 1 vs. 1 dogfights as your opponent will likely out-turn you and out-climb you. The Jugs speed at low altitude is unexceptional also. Still the roll-rate needs to be improved some IMHO and some say the DM is bad but I don't have enough experience in the Jug to say.

Nice observation and Its nice to hear someone else that knows that, due to game restrictions especially, the 47 is mainly a ground pounder or high alt fighter with good wingman tactics.............S! kyrule.

I fly the Jug often, infact every day and in FB it dose not matter what alt you are at in FB, you will get the same performance.

The only perfromance dif in FB is speed. Not alt. I tested the Jug at 1000m and 4000m 6000m. No dif in speed.

Evan BnZ in't all that great with the Jug. When you dive down from your Perch to engage a Yak or LA-7 and if you miss they can cach up to you. Mayby not right away. But if they already have goode E they can cach you on you way up.

So the 47 ins't MD correctly or the Russion planes are over MD.

There are charts that were posted on on roll rate and stuff did you guy's read them. or becaus these tests were done in the US they dont mean anything to the Madox team?
