Consider that some of the Anthems are not the same than in WW2. Some National Anthems says much about a country's political phylosophy, and Europe has changed a lot since...

Let's see........there's "Country Folk Can Survive". It's the Anthem for all us country folks in the US.

We need a more universally appealing American anthem than 'Country Folk Can Survive', although I generally agree with the tone.

"Bad To the Bone" is more my style.

Advance Australiafair only became the official anthem in the late seventies and wasn't sung publicly untill the 1984 Olympics. Makes you realise why its so badly sung, afterall its only been around for 20 years!

And it's gone PC "Australian Sons let us rejoice" to "Australians all" really....

I liked "our land is dirt (girt) by sea"

not a great anthem, would have even stayed with god save the Queen (we mean it maaaann)

There's a great moment in a film called "The Dish" where the master of ceremonies announces 'the national anthem of the United States of America' and the band strikes up with the theme from Hawaii Five-O.

How about that for an anthem?

for the americans a good song, clearly not an anthem, is a movie theme song The Great Escape is perfect.
