Found this at a modeling site I frequent. There is a good history of the aircraft at the beginning, and many will enjoy the photos and the kit review of the new 32nd scale kit, particularly if you're considering the $50 investment.

1:32 MiG-3?? YUMMY!!!!

I have the ICM MiG-3 but, it was quite a pain in the @ss to make. I had some accidents with it. However, the kit will be one of my best when finished. 1:32 sounds good! BTW, if you are thinking of making a MiG-3, you should also look at this one:

yeah, I did the ICM kit myself, and used the Squadron vac canopy & the Cutting Edge resin interior, which are both really nice. Unfortunately, I used the kit decals, which were better looking on the backing paper than on the (black & green)painted model. The other big problem was getting the antenna to mount properly. That definitely caused some anal irritation.

I also have the Classic Airframes version, but haven't mustered enough ambition to start it yet.

Cheers

I threw it almost out of the window, on several occasions. I wanted to paint it white, with the red on the outer wings (like in the color profiles) But, the white paint didn't go very well and the red paint was very difficult to apply properly. I got the cutting edge interior too. There was some difficulty of fitting but, nothing major. Now there's only the fitting of the landing gear left. It is quite complicated because the nor the model nor the instructions are clear of where to place it exactly. So, i looked for some good drawings and pictures and in a day or two, the gear will also be completed.
