This sort of thread is really better suited to the Community Help forum.

First thing to do is check to see that Windows recognizes the stick. What version of Windows are you using?

Ok on windows, go start, Program files, ubisoft folder to the last window, in there click on set up, it will open another window, click on the tab along the top for joystick and make sure use joystick is ticked http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif also you can recal it there ............. another useful thing is click on the network tab and at the bottom of that one you can turn off the movie at the start of the game........... hope that helps you out........ BTW its worth the wait http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

He said pilots license, maybe he means the settings or control sensitivity.

Just play with difficulty settings, find your fit and have fun. When you`re bored, rise the difficulty and so on untli you can play online. Then it allll starts.

With difficulty settings at Medium or Hard the flight dynamics are fairly challenging. You really need to have some idea of why and how a real aeroplane behaves or be prepared to spend a long time learning (for some people, both) to "get" this game.

Just to help you out a bit, if you are driving a car or riding a bicycle at any speed other than barely moving and you turn the steering all the way to its limit you're going to cause a crash. Same thing in an aircraft, use small, gentle, smooth control inputs that are just sufficient to do what you need. If you apply maximum control than back off when it gets to where you want it pointed, you'll almost never get it to where you want it pointed.

Also remember these are not the latest jets. They don't have enough power to go straight up indefinitely. Like a stone thrown in the air, eventually gravity wins.

If you've not flown a flight simulator before, it's likely that its your settings that need adjustment, not the computers. Almost all first time flyers both on computers and in the real world are too heavy handed on the controls the first few times they fly.
