... a 360║ panoramic view of a 109 cockpit here:

Panoramic Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-2 cockpit (http://www.360cities.net:80/image/luftfahrtmuseum-40)

It's a G-2 (my favourite in Il-2):

http://www.luftfahrtmuseum-hannover.de/files/img_thumbnails/20_55.jpeg

at the Hannover Luftfahrtmuseum:

Messerschmitt at the Hannover Luftfahrtmuseum (http://www.luftfahrtmuseum-hannover.de/messerschmitt)

And the cockpit of a 190 A-8:

Focke-Wulf at the Hannover Luftfahrtmuseum (http://www.luftfahrtmuseum-hannover.de/focke)

here:

Panoramic Focke-Wulf Fw-190 A-8 cockpit (http://www.360cities.net/image/luftfahrtmuseum-39)

It's like being there with the TIR instead of the Revi gunsight and the skills to turn your head around of The Exorcist's girl.

Pitily, the guys taking the shots weren┤t sitting upon the pilot's reglamentary parachute, giving a low point of view, so this 190 view won┤t give additional light on the real pilot field of sight forward through the Revi gunsight issue.

Anyway, enjoy!.

Excellent post Engadin. That Me-109 cockpit, I have more room in my shoes, after I put my foot in!

Is reading a forgotten art around here?

no, its a simple matter of human nature.
it is known the most people see pictures before they see letters.

it is also a fact that humans read headlines and see colours first.

therefore (at least for me) i read the headline which told me that it was a panorama

then i entered the topic, saw the picture and saw the link, now i knew that the link would have to be to the panorama so i clicked it..watched the panorame and when i was done i knew what i wanted to reply... never occurred to me to read the rest of what you wrote.

maybe its not very smart but thats the way we behave.

Never thought the photographer would be sitting in the plane, I just figured he reached his arm into the cockpit and snapped away.

Nice link thanks. I find it to be much better than in IL2... all around visibility from the pit is better on these pics. However, instrument panel is somehow higher positioned and therefore if FW isn't in flight taxiing is very hard.
I have used Architectural view and put the camera all the way up, it's almost like in the game then. Fisheye also works very well once when you zoom in a bit (no visibility distortions when looking around).
