View Full Version : Could we choose our own UI (FB/PF)?

A request/little petition to Oleg:

With the mergerd version of FB/PF we currently use the latter's graphics in the UI while many, included myself, would like the old days' FB splash screen and such, very much. I miss the La-7 (or was it La-5?) downing the Ta 152 for example, and the colours looked better to me overall.

Given it has no influence in the gameplay whatsoever, could the old version be made available for the ones who prefer it?

first that plane was Kozhedub's La7 downing a D9 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif
I think you can change the splash screens by modifying some .tga file, can't remember which ones, but i'll look.

The German version had the same scene but reversed : Dora downing the burning La-7. I wonder if both versions are included but you can choose which one to make the default background.

Didn't find any tga files. mmm

I want the old FB I~16 splash screen you saw at game loadup. That screenshot was pure High Class. I~16 shining in the sunset sky low over Ye Olde Lenningrad -- it made it obvious this was a "new" kind of flight sim, a type never seen before. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Don't need La or Fw, but that I~16 was Sexy.

Yeah http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif ... I was rushing.
I tend to consider the Dora a 152 more than a 190, that's why.

I have to check for the .tda, but I was meaning all the UI, not only the splash screen. I was meaning the colours for example.
