I'm going to be away from the forum or a few days. On Thursday I am going in to the hospital for arthroscopic knee surgery, which will lay me up for a few days. Today I am going out of town for couple of days to visit my father, so I won't be posting back here until maybe Friday. It's going to be hard not being able to sink any Tommies for a few days!

Best of luck with the war, Kameraden. See you in a few days.

Read: Our Kaluen wandered to far into the "winter garden" during a night surface attack, his knee was almost sheared clean off by a tommy .303 round, bravely he fought on. On Dienstag, cookie will adminster snapps and try to make the best of our Kaleun's knee through some ad hoc surgery on the officer's mess table...

Doenitz is very concerned and wants a radio message as soon as the surgery is sucessful...

Good Luck and Good Shooting!

Kaleun,

If it was me, I would be working that knee angle to stay home from work in order to remain at the helm of my U-Boat.

"Oowwweee...my knee really hurts. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif
I just.....can't.....make.....it. ..in....to...work..*gasp* http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Yes, yes Kaleun is not the only ehm ..Kaleun ? that recieved a wound in this sea war.

I remember those Tommy beaf tin cans we fished out of the water after we sunk this C-2.

I made the horrible mistake to eat something of it and then ...... uhhh forget it..... . http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Anyway ! Wish you all the best for your surgery Kaleun ! And those new artificial legs the wehrmacht medical corps has to offer are .... quite ok. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

So if things go wrong .....

Forget it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Checking in folks, from the war vets convalescent hospital if beautiful Berchtesgaden.

I had the op this afternoon; all went well. Right now the freezing is still in the joint so I'm not feeling too bad. I have pain meds available for when it wears off. It will be a few days before I am up in the con again, but I just wanted to check in and say hello to everybody and thank you for all the lovely messages you kind folks have left for me here.

Good hunting until I get back!
