This movie should have been done a long time ago... the series was great.. as short as it was.

Finally!!! Thanks for the heads up BC!

+1. When all the movies like Batman, Superman, and other comic book action heroes was coming out over the years, I never understood why they didn't make the Green Hornet back during that time.

And also, the Black Beauty gets let out to play once again. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif On a side note, my favorite cars was the Chrysler Imperials when we used to go to the demolition derby on the weekends at Motorama Speedway in Beaumont, Texas when I was a kid. Those MFers junked everything in their path. The only car that could take on an Imp was another Imp, and everthing else on the track was eventual snack food for them. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I dunno, I saw this trailer and I thought "Ruh Roh". I don't like the lead actor. They're playing this for camp and fun and I read the pulps as a kid, the Green Hornet was deadly serious. I'd prefer a treatment like "Batman Begins" or "Spiderman". Something a bit more serious than this appears to be. But I guess we'll just wait and see.

I thought the same thing when I read the publicity news of the movie in preproduction that Seth Rogen was in it. Even so, judging from the trailer it will hopefully be good. When I saw the trailer for 'Sherlock Holmes' (2009), it had the same kind of campy one liners and scenes, and I thought that it turned out to be a good movie nonetheless.

Seth Rogen as the lead gives me some concerns.
I hope I am wrong and I like him in the role like I did Michael Keaton as Batman.

You can tell by the trailer the movie has been written around 3D special effects without needing to read the "in 3D" comment http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Not that being in 3D necessarily means a bad movie you just get the odd gratuitous extra scene now and again just for 3D effect.

Yeah I remember any '3D' movie I'd ever seen has a bunch of junk flying out at you to try and make you duck.

How many flicks from the 1950's when this stuff started are still remembered. Who remembers this one? (http://boingboing.net/2008/04/08/april-8-1953-first-b.html) ? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Well, hope I'm wrong but prolly not http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

The back story looked like it's a 'redemption of a slacker' theme. Yeah I am guessing they'd have a big audience for that. I'd have thought they might have done a better job on that, but hey- as has been intimated, that's Hollywood http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif
