My 6 y/o son has just started flying this sim. He's been watching dad for almost 2 years now go from IL-2 to FB to Aces and now PF. Since I installed the game on the family PC (until then it was only on my laptop) he's taken to flying like a baby bird pushed from the nest. For being only 6 he has pretty good flight skills. Granted I have to set the realism to easy but at least he's honing his gunnery http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And some of you out there may be wondering what side he like to fly for........

Blue, of course http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Cool - if he will train well, he will be the no. 1 ace in a few years.

Wish him much success and hope he won't get too good - otherwise the skies are empty...

My son started then too..LOL. he is 7 now. He likes to shoot down the Zwillings....... I put my IL2 on his PC.. but he likes PF better. He likes the Corsairs.... I think ts because we went to see one in Florida when he was about 3 and he still remembers it.

His fascination now is with twin engines (he really wants to fly a 4 engined bomber but alas there is none...yet http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) His favorite right now is the Bf-110 up against US bombers. He's doing quite well and made his first landing last night.

The other neat thing is he sees the planes in the sim and also sees the models I have of them in my office. For being 6 his recognition of aircraft is quite good.

That does it!!!

I think I'll just UNinstall all my combat flight sims and go back to playing CHESS.

As we know we have guys who are 40 y old and older...so its possible that theyr playin with their teenage boys (18,19, old boys)....those teens could be serious opponents (and Wingies to their fathers)...that sounds cool to me...to play with ur son in his late teen ages....in such "serious" game/sim..and not only a chess like Latico mentioned http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
