Oleg, to enhance immersion in FMB, an option for non-agressive river craft such as barges and smaller boats would be greatly appreciated.

Currently, the only non-aggresive shipping we have are the cargo and freighter ships and these appear un-realistic(too large) in most river settings.

Thank you for considering this.

That's a great idea FW190fan, I can't believe it wasn't mentioned before. This would really add to immersion and would be fairly simple to implement (I think). Man, people who love the 190 certainly are intelligent. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

and to make it even more real Oleg could add some half naked women lying on the beachs.

Actually thats quite correct, Ilmari Juutilainen mentions in his book "Double fighter knight" how he flies over a few "lottas" sunbathing. So theres references to go by. Of course, i doubt anyone would complain about overmodelling...even if they were. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And the Volga river barges were crewed by ladies too.

This is not a bad idea, actually.

I'm sure if a third-party modeller created some appropiate models, Oleg would include them. Perhaps you should propose this at netwings and see if anyone is interested. If I new how to model, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I hate always having to use the torpedo boats as river boat stand-ins.

Yes, A.K. Davis - the torpedo boats don't quite do it for me either, similar to the cargo and freighter ships which are simply to big for rivers.

Third party models of river craft and barges would be great if someone would consider modeling them and Oleg would consider adding them. Especially river barges would be welcomed.

However - my quick suggestion would be to ask if there is a way to disarm the Russian Trawl and Hunter type boats and set them to neutral. This way we could have boats in rivers purely for scenery and immersion.

very good idea 190fan, we also need grouped summer and winter pine trees along with rail yard depos, open hangers that we can taxin in, metal and wooden tank jacks for normandie. along with barbwire fences and pow camps, theres some british missions of attacking pow camps to free british pilots.

This is an interesting request.

I went to place some object trees, to wall off the see through forests at ground level, but the object trees are puny little bushes. We need very tall pine trees as placeble objects, preferably multiple pine trees in each pine tree "object" too.

Of course we are! Sounds like a good idea to me =)

Russian aircraft require skill to fly.
German aircraft require ten times that skill, and one hundred times the patience!

thats a good idea about the barges and the trees, the trees in FB are pretty short, itd make low level flying more fun

Bump for Oleg.

I think this is important for us mission builders. It's a shame to leave such beautiful rivers naked. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
