I went out to do a bit of Christmas shopping today, and found THIS in a Clearance Bookshop - only ??14.99.

Needless to say it had to be mine. Now if anyone out there is mad enough to want performance or technical details on the IL-2 or IL-10 I'll be the one to ask (once I've actually read it). http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I also got a copy of the Spitfire Pilot's Notes from Waterstones - a 42 page booklet on everything the Spittie pilot should know. For example I've learned today that Spitfires carried a crowbar in the cockpit for in-flight maintenance! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Groovy.

If you see my replys around B-17 and B-24 questions in this forum, they are from Crowood books I have of those AC. IMO quality ones. I use those books sometime to track a certain bomber I have read of.
Actually, good topic, I would like to know if anyone found faulty information on these.

Yup I have that book and it is excellent. There is a PE-2 volume by Crowood also, to be a true geek you need to have both http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Sounds like a great book for IL-2 fans, of which I am fast becomming one. Good find!

Are you talking about these pilots notes? http://www.crecy.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=12&osCsid=2...0d991f63361ad035bc86 (http://www.crecy.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=12&osCsid=24d014a897980d991f63361ad035bc86)

They do some great stuff. I have the Spitfire IIA and IIB set, and the 109E.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yep. Thats the one. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I didn't realise they did so many. I was told of the Spitfire booklet's existence today by one of the staff in my local coffee house (he saw me reading the IL-2 book http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif ), so I went looking for it. They only had the Spitfire and Lancaster books in Waterstones.

Well, I must be really geeky then!! The Pe-2 book is very good I reckon. Along he same lines as the IL-2 book with it's wealth of technical information, and details of combat use.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
