I'm trying to do a repaint of Bessarabia to look a bit like China during Second China war, anyone know or even better have pics of how the area look during that years?
Some tell me that is a fairly dry area, other talk about rice paddies, anyone have a clear idea of what is it in reality?

China is kind of a large country, with many different types of landscape and climate--do you have a specific area in mind?

cheers

Why changing a default map into a Chinese looking one if there is a new China Hankow map?
You can't get it here but at SAS1946.

Why do the two ship's hulls on the far left look like they're sitting on top of the water?

Probably because they are now empty and naturally sit higher in the water.

Because the height of the surrounding land is greater than 0 or sea level. the game engine doesn't allow for water above sea level so when the map maker has water at a place above sea level it generates an invisible plane for ships to sit on but it's actually at ground height. If you zoom in you can see the ships keel, propellers, rudder etc.
I first noticed this when the Desert Online map was released. It does take away the immersion factor when attacking with torpedos http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Unfortunately there is no fix for this. Hopefully CoD will be different.
