Hi Guys,

I'm quite new to the game so try not to shoot me down in flames too much...

I was wondering how you lock an enemy plane as a target. There's a Wingman command (attack my target) but I'm not sure how to set my target. Is there a way to lock on to a target or does the wingman just assume the target you mean is the target directly in front of your plane?

Thanks in advance for any help!

look in controls under "padlock enemy plane"
i can't remember what the default key is but i have it set to a button on my joystick

when padlocked the enemy plane will have a greeen triangle round it - and your view will follow it

hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Fluke39, Judging from what you've said I guess there is no way to just target the plane without using the padlock view. For instance hit T to target when enemy is in the target recticle?

Padlock is for pussies./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Get yourself TrackIR instead.

All the command functions are listed in the quick reference guide that comes with the boxed product.

Umm thanks for that, I think... I have the original boxed product together with manual and key chart, but there are a zillion and one keys and it's not very descriptive for a novice. It's a simple question and you've not helped with your answer.

I just want confirmation that the only way to lock a target is to use the padlock view.

So if anyone out there if feeling helpful then I'd appreciate it.
