Point of sale is irrelevant, as sneakers like this are all made in sweatshops in Taiwan or Mexico or anywhere that labour is cheap. Calling them English is not correct, English people didn't make them.

It's a bit like calling a BMW car British because it's sold in the UK.

raaaid,

Puma is a German sport shoes producer founded in 1924. You can read it in wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PUMA_AG

I would believe the article is - as for the basics - trustworthy, because in Germany the overall story of Puma and adidas is common knowledge.

Funny, it claims Jesse Owens did wear Puma at the Olympics in 1936 ...

From wikipedia:

"In the English language the cougar has over 40 names. Cougars are known by many regional names, including American lion, brown tiger, catamount, deer tiger, Florida panther, ghost cat, Indian devil, king cat, Mexican lion, mountain screamer, Nittany Lion, painter, panther, red lion, red panther, red tiger, silver lion, sneak cat, and painted cat. The word puma comes from the Quechua language. In Brazil it is also known as the sušuarana, from the Tupi language, but also has other names."

marseille might have been a snob but the reason for the shoes i suppose was to go against ss style

its my deduction because i do the same

in the summer 15 years ago i was the only one to wear hemp shoes at 5 euros price eveybody with dupont shoes

guess what now they even announce it on tv, a hemp product, totally antisystem

XD those are the kinds of things that make feel sometimes like truman
